Caregiver Confidence Workshops – 2024

Caregiver Confidence

We understanding that caring for a loved one can be overwhelming, so we’ve developed Caregiver Confidence workshops to provide helpful tips and techniques. Our Caregiver Confidence program was designed specifically to help support family caregivers with the tools, resources, and training to be more confident as a new caregiver. It is available to Trellis Supportive Care families as well as anyone in the community.

While Trellis Supportive Care team members make routine visits and are available 24/7, the role of the primary giver cannot be underestimated. Building confidence is one way to improve the quality of life for our patients and families.

The Caregiver Confidence program will help caregivers on many levels. Caregivers will receive customized training to care for their loved one. Examples of topics include organizing medical information, home safety, fall prevention, caring for yourself, safe transfers in and out of bed/chair, preventing bed sores, managing incontinence, and much more. The workshops are offered in two parts, free of charge. To learn more and find registration information, click here.

Trellis Supportive Care serves patients in 13 counties, from offices in Mocksville/Davie County, Salisbury/Rowan County, Walnut Cove/Stokes County, and Winston-Salem/Forsyth County. The Caregiver Confidence program will be available to all caregivers.
