Trellis Supportive Care Announces the Appointment of Dr. Michael Lalor as CEO

Winston-Salem, NC – June 16, 2025 - Trellis Supportive Care’s Board of Directors announced today that Dr. Michael Lalor, formerly the organization’s Chief Medical Officer, has assumed the position of President and CEO. This comes immediately following the retirement of Linda Darden who was President and CEO since 2014.
Dr. Lalor joined Trellis Supportive Care in 2014 as the Chief Medical Officer. He has provided outstanding clinical leadership and built an expert team of physicians and nurse practitioners who elevate the level of care Trellis delivers to nearly 1,000 patients daily.
“I’m honored to have been chosen to lead the organization I love. I am thankful for Linda’s leadership and stewardship of this organization, and I am excited about our future as we continue to support patients and families in our community,” shared Lalor.
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the State University of New York at Albany, he received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. Lalor also holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Healthcare Management from West Texas A&M University. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
Since joining Trellis Supportive Care, Dr. Lalor helped shepherd the agency through the COVID pandemic, launched highly successful disease specific programs of care, and greatly expanded the palliative care program, all while maintaining consistently high-quality standards of patient care. Lalor engages at the State and National level to support advanced illness care, with a particular focus on caring for the aging.
“The board of directors and leadership of Trellis is so pleased to have this seamless transition in place. This organization is essential to our community and to have Dr. Lalor, with all of his experience and expertise, as our new Chief Executive Office is a real gift,” said Mike Gwyn, Board Chair.
