Stocks and Securities

Donor-Advised Funds
If you have established a donor-advised fund, a grant recommendation is an easy way to support the hospice patients and families that Trellis Supportive Care serves. Contact the institution that oversees your fund to make this recommendation.
Please note that any gift from a donor-advised fund should be made to Trellis Supportive Care directly.
Gifts by IRA
For donors 70 ½ or older, a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) through an IRA is a smart, effective way to make a difference.
An individual may transfer up to $111,000 per year, and a married couple may give up to $222,000. Your transfer of funds counts toward the annual Required Minimum Distribution from your IRA. Because funds are transferred directly from your IRA account to Trellis Supportive Care, your gift does not create taxable income and is not considered a charitable tax deduction.
Contact your IRA administrator to give today. Be sure to request that your name and member ID number are included on the check from your financial institution.

Planned Giving
Regardless of the amount, a planned gift has the power to change lives for generations to come.

Do you have an IRA, a 401(k) plan, a life insurance policy, or any other asset not included in your will? If so, these are called non-probate assets, and you should plan your beneficiaries for them separately.
